Stat 420-1: Introduction to Statistical Theory and Methodology I

This is the first in a series of 3 mathematical statistics courses aimed at first year statistics PhD and Masters students. This course is focused on theory of statistical distributions and their properties and includes topics such as:
- Calculating moments from statistical distributions
- Characteristic, moment generating, and cumulant generating functions
- Functions of random variables
